Natalie Haynes has a great piece in The Times today about how difficult it is to opt out of the NHS online record system. Do you remember when HM Revenue and Customs lost those two CD Roms? My details are on one of those CDs, because I have a youngster and so I automatically receive the weekly allowance.
If you want your data to be floating around digitally do nothing. Otherwise visit this NHS link and look for the downloadable PDF (Patient Opt out form) to start the opt out process. And if they ever change that link, I’ve put a copy of that form here on my web server, just for you.
